I drew it for the big hearted people who take care of our little eyes!
With the words of a wonderful 5-year-old lady, the traditional project of the Rotary Club of Sofia Triaditsa for the prevention of eye diseases began. And this year, we share dedication and responsibility towards the vision of the future together with the professionals of the eye department at Lozenets University Hospital and the students of the Optometry Specialty at Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski.
Our associates and hosts of the next edition of the Amblyopia Prevention Project* are nine kindergartens of the Capital Municipality - Serdika District.
- By diagnosing amblyopia, we give children at an early age the opportunity for a treatment, which is not possible at a later stage of the eye development. In the case of unaddressed amblyopia, the brain uses only the image from one eye and stepeoscope vision does not develop. This would greatly limit the realization of these children in certain professions.
