Donations of medical equipment for children’s departments have begun. The funds for this specialized children’s equipment were provided during the Spring Charity Ball of RC Sofia Triaditsa under the theme “For the Health of Our Children”.
As of yesterday, the pediatric department at Aytos General Hospital is equipped with a new vein scanner, which will facilitate the blood collection process for small patients. The department was renovated as part of the Firefly project by our partners from the For Goodness Foundation.
Meeting with the people working in pediatric departments in small settlements, we increasingly realized the heroics they perform, how dedicated they are to their calling to be doctors, nurses, orderlies, and to help their little patients, to support their parents.
Vein Scanner - The vein scanning device can effectively improve the success rate for finding the vein on the first attempt. Injections and systems are administered quickly and with just one puncture once the vein’s location is known. The vein scanning device is particularly useful for small children, making the process of securing a vein easier and thus reducing the stress of the blood collection procedure.
